Clippers are used to cut hair. They can be used on human or animal hair. Clippers work on the same principle as scissors. They comprise a pair of comb-like blades that slide over each other and in the process cuts hair. Hair clippers are operated by a pair of handles which are alternately squeezed together and released.
You will find several brands of clipper blades. Andis is just one of them. Andis clippers come in different designs for different uses. After constant use, blades tend to dull and they will require Andis replacement clipper blades. Choosing the right blade is simple. Just refer to the printed or molded model number at the back of your andis clipper.

If you are involved in the beauty profession, then you know that keeping your tools of the trade in tip top shape is very important. For hair stylists, keeping their beauty shears in their original condition is a must. The best way to keep your beauty shears ready is to avail of professional beauty shears sharpening services. You need to have this done by a reputable company which specializes in this particular trade.
The importance of having the equipment that you use in peak condition always is tantamount to your success. If you are a customer in a barber shop and you see that the scissors they are using are dull, will you still go back and get your haircut there? I didn’t think so. Specially for women who go to the salon, once they see that your beauty shears are not sharpened to do the job well, then you can say goodbye to that loyal customer. Always make sure that your tools are in the proper condition for your clients.

Just like in soap, natural ingredients make for safer shampoo. Natural shampoo can remove oils, dirt, dandruff and other pollutants that affect the hair and scalp just as well as shampoo with commercial formulations. They are able to remove unwanted build-up without completely removing the oils that make the hair soft and smooth. If you look at the bottles of shampoo in grocery shelves, you will see how they have become specialized. There is dandruff shampoo, hair fall and volumizing shampoos. It only means that more ingredients have been added which is not necessary good for the health of the hair.
Natural shampoos do not need a lot of ingredients. You can actually make your own with ingredients that are easily available. Here is a basic recipe for shampoo for normal hair:
Mix the ingredients in a bottle. Remember to shake before use.
- 1/4 cup distilled water
- 1/4 cup liquid Castile Soap – you have a choice of scents
- 1/2 teaspoon jojoba, grape seed, or other light vegetable oil

Wigs have become a part of a woman’s get-up; it is now fashionable for everyday use. Wigs can transform a person’s look. It is more convenient than sitting in a salon for hours to get a change of hair color or a perm. You can just plop on a wig and be ready to go in a matter of minutes. It is just the thing for the busy woman.
Ladies wigs come in different colors and lengths. There are curly wigs, straight, asymmetrical, layered or feathered styles. However you want to look today, there will be a wig that will match that look. There are just too many choices and the good thing is you can try them on first before making a final pick. They are also now easier to get. You can go to a salon for one, or have one specially made for you by custom hire stores.

My friend has been pestering me to get our hair makeover. So, we have scheduled it for next month. If she had her way, our hair would’ve been done last month but I wanted to make sure that my hair would get the best care it needs.
So, I asked around for some tips and price range of how I wanted my hair to look. I have very thick long wavy hair. I want to get bangs and my hair rebonded but most of friends told me that I should retain my wavy locks. They said that it suits my facial structure better than to have a stiff cut across my forehead. They told me not to touch the color of my hair, too, but I wanted a different look. So, I stopped asking them and went to a professional stylist instead. He told me that my friends are correct in retaining my wavy locks but he will be happy to color it. I just need to make sure that I use Biolage shampoo to preserve the hair color and keep it healthy. I’m definitely ready to get my hair done next month! By March, goodbye to my dark roots and hello to my wavy and stylish flaming locks!
